Listen to a Clip of the song HERE

Why should I welcome
Your domination
Why should I listen
To explanations

I'm not pretending
To make it simple
Try to be something
Experimental

You don't turn me off
I will never fail
Things I loved before,
Are now for sale

Keep yourself away
Far away from me
I forever stay
Your perfect enemy

No longer waiting
Remove illusions
No more complaining
Forget confusion

No more confession
Not sentimental
I am now something
Experimental

You don't turn me off
I will never fail
Things I loved before,
Are now for sale

Keep yourself away
Far away from me
I forever stay
Your perfect enemy

Fairy Tale Context : The princess is sick of being the princess. Maybe she realizes that she is fed of up happily ever after she was fed, that it is not living up to what was said. She is moving to another castle, which is trying something different , "experimental", an experimental fairy tale. She is taking the fairy tale now, taking the delusions and roles they were assigned to her, and leaving it behind, which makes them fairy tale enemies (and not ever possible in an actual fairy tale - as it would mean she'd have independence)

Modern Context: This song takes place after the housewife has had it up to the gills with the husbands cheating and abuse. She is breaking out of the role of "kitchen bitch" by being something "experimental".

Reflection : I think our society has come a long way from the fairy tale to the modern context, possibly with some negative effects. Marriage , a holy fairy tale, is not held in the same regard as it was long ago. With religion infecting the modern day fairy tale of love, we find out how easily it is if we are not happy with our prince to just divorce him. In a fairy tale, it would be equivilant to the prince going off and getting slain, because the romance is held at the utmost importance where adultery and lying do not exist, for death is much more humble.

I would say we ran too fast at some points, people get married, young girls dream of their big day and then them and their spouses turn into "perfect enemies". Though, this is a much different look at the fairy tale through a modern view, does it mean it is a good one?
